Our workshops on personal creativity, communication and imagination are regarded by many as life-changing.

These principles have evolved into our sytemic organization devleopment tool, Stellar. Used by IBM, UNICEF, NSPCC and scores of others, it's the world's leading brand system toolkit.

Trustware: aligning & empowering employees

Stepping Stones is 20 years old at the end of April 2011.

In our very first project 20 years ago we learnt an important lesson. There are three ways to align employees:

  1. By power
  2. By habit, including technology
  3. Through inspiration: shared ideas, goals and beliefs

Only inspiration and shared ideals achieve lasting creative alignment, employee enthusiasm, and sustainable success. Employees want to align with a purpose they value. They want to work where their talents will grow and where they will make a noticeable difference. Where they can enjoy working together doing something worthwhile.

An ‘inward-bound’ course

At The Computing Group, a leading UK IS firm, we facilitated a change programme involving almost all staff. The results transformed responsibility, trust and co-operation of staff at all levels and led to new and better client solutions.

The aim was to enlighten understanding of leadership, teamwork and customer-facing processes. And gain real changes.

One member called it ‘an inward-bound course’. It released energy, flow and co-operation through the company.

Recently The Computing Group, which was acquired by Rapp, has been dissolved to enable a European-wide consolidation of its computing interests. Change happens. And with us too.

Over the 20 years we have developed and refined these principles into significant tools and processes. Stellar is our way of achieving rapid organisation-wide development and change to peak performance. In the process it inspires the whole company to get onside.

Stellar both inspires and alligns people, strategy and processes across the organization. Because its design principle is to focus on the credible and the organization at its best, it is inspiring, Because Stellar defines what we do and how we do it at our best, it achieves governance and alignment.
